However, the problem of bag breakage still occurs. Conventional retort bagged foods adopt the following production process: raw material acceptance → processing → bagging → vacuuming → hot melt sealing → inspection → heating sterilization → cooling → dry packaging, among which bag breakage often occurs in the heating sterilization and cooling stages.
Because the bagging stage requires the filling amount to be lower than the bag capacity to prevent the influence of sealing contamination on the heat sealing quality, and the bag cannot reach an absolute vacuum state during the vacuuming stage, these two situations will cause a certain amount of gas to remain in the retort bag. When the vacuum-treated retort bag is heated at high temperature, the water content of the bag evaporates to form water vapor, which expands together with the remaining gas in the bag due to heat, and the pressure rises suddenly. When it exceeds the maximum pressure that the retort bag can withstand, the weak part of the bag will first break. In addition, there is also a risk of bag breaking during the cooling process. When the cooling water enters the retort pot, the pressure outside the bag drops sharply, but since the contents of the bag cannot be cooled synchronously, the pressure inside and outside differs by several times, which will inevitably cause bag breaking accidents.
